The excitement from Albie and Olive as I walk through the door is immediately known. These gorgeous dogs can’t contain their excitement when someone new enters their home. I’m here to take pictures but really I just want to play with them all day!
First thing I do is to hug my close friend Amy who is the beloved mum to these little rascals! They soon get comfortable with me and stop protecting her. I was careful because usually, every time I get to their level they pounce on me with kisses and cuddles. I know I’m in for a real treat!
Albie and Olive are only 1 and a half years old and are brother and sister. Albie is more of a rebel when compared to Olive yet he is the one who enjoys the cuddles more when he settles down. Olive is the one who is more defensive yet she is the calmer of the two.
They both had so much energy I had to make sure my camera settings were right to capture the fast-moving shots! Despite the setting change they were ever so fast to be caught mid-flight in some cases!
I don’t have any dogs of my own so it is a true joy to spend time with these lovely animals and see visually how much they make my friend happy! These dogs are her babies and I wanted to make sure I captured them right as well as some beautiful shots with her too.
Something Cherished: I cherished my time with my friend and enjoyed being around these furry friends who you can’t help but smile at!
Something Challenged: Those pesky speedy shots! You wouldn’t believe the speed they accelerate to! Also, the dogs took caution when I clicked the shutter on the camera. It is an unfamiliar device to them so I think they got a bit nervous when by the sound. They got used to the sound but if they didn’t I would have switched to silent mode.
My favourite shot: It would have to be the one where Albie is giving me a cheeky side eye. He’s relaxed here while being cautious of me with my camera.
